Meranda-Nixon Winery and Meranda Vineyards are located in the heart of Brown Co. just north of the Ohio River. The Ohio River Valley was once the leading wine producing region of the U.S. and the Meranda-Nixon Winery will proudly help this valley to flourish once again.

Meranda-Nixon Winery will be having their grand opening April 13th 2007. Following the grand opening the tasting room will be opened every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm
Saturdays from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm They will have "grill your own steak and salmon" dinner.

They have recently released their ESTATE grown Traminette and their own Ohio produced and bottled Catawba, and Red Oak Creek Red Wine.

Brilliance - To be released at the 2008 Summer Festival. Dry white blend.

Reggae - To be released at the 2008 Summer Festival. Sweet red blend.

Therapy - To be released at the 2008 Summer Festival. Barrel aged, dry red blend.

Traminette - To be released at the 2008 Summer Festival. Off-dry white varietal

Vidal - To be released at the 2008 Summer Festival. Semi-sweet white varietal.

Amore - Crisp off dry white blend. Has apple, pineapple and cantaloupe bouquet with a hint of muguet with a fruity apple, pineapple flavor with a hint of sweet cinnamon. Smooth finish.

Chill - Semi sweet white varietal created from Niagara grapes. Has deep floral, woody, apricot bouquet with an apricot, plum flavor with hints of apple. Smooth, clean finish.

Crazy - Full bodied off dry red blend. Has red floral, peach and oak bouquet with a spicy black raspberry taste with hints of black current and pepper. Velvety finish.

Cynthiana - Full bodied dry red varietal. Has honeysuckle and jasmine bouquet with a rich berry flavor with hints of black current and cassis. Crisp, clean finish.

deChaunac - Bold, full bodied dry red varietal. Has plum, violet, fruity bouquet with a bold plum, berry and cherry taste with a hint of apricot. Balanced finish.

Enchanted - Blend of four distinct grapes. Has pear, apple, jasmine, floral and spice bouquet with a delicate floral and slightly sweet and fruity taste. Velvety, smooth finish.

Splash! - An apple wine with a ‘splash’ of cranberry juice. Has golden delicious and pear bouquet with a fleshy apple and ripe pear taste. Clean, crisp finish.

The tasting room is open every Saturday from Noon until 9:00pm.
